As you begin planning for college, you’re certain to evaluate how you’ll pay for college. For most families, part of this equation is financial aid. In order for students to be awarded financial aid, they must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). As Carolina Parent stated, “Applying for financial aid helps students venture to schools of their dreams they may not have been able to afford without such assistance.”
One of the ways in which College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC) has helped North Carolina families plan, apply, and pay for college is by sponsoring FAFSA Day, giving students and families an opportunity to receive in-person, one-on-one help as they complete the FAFSA. This year, the day will be held on October 29. FAFSA Day is just one way to get help with college preparations.
As you continue the process of planning for college, stay aware of other helpful events and information through the CFNC page on Facebook. Also, call CFNC with questions about applying or paying for college at 866-866-CFNC.
