For many families, financial aid will be part of the equation, but receiving an award package only happens if you complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Completion of this document is a critical step as families evaluate options for paying for college, which is why the end of February was deemed Financial Aid Awareness Week in North Carolina.
